Every Company Has a Story. Ours Just Happens to Be Artificial.
Artificial Ingredients Laboratories was founded on a simple idea: the world could always use a little more laughter.
What began as an experimental AI music project eventually evolved into something much larger—a fictional company, an eccentric spokesman, and an ever-growing universe built around satire, vintage Americana, and the art of not taking ourselves too seriously.
Today, Artificial Ingredients Laboratories produces apparel, books, journals, stickers, artwork, novelty goods, and other officially artificial products inspired by the look and spirit of nineteenth-century medicine shows, traveling carnivals, and old general stores.
Our goal isn't to convince people that miracles exist.
It's to remind them that curiosity, humor, and common sense never go out of style.
How It All Began
Artificial Ingredients didn't begin as a store.
It didn't even begin as a company.
It began as a creative experiment.
Originally, Artificial Ingredients was conceived as a music project exploring the emerging world of artificial intelligence. The concept was intentionally satirical, using AI-generated music and storytelling to poke fun at modern technology, internet culture, and humanity's growing fascination with artificial intelligence.
To serve as the "frontman" of this fictional band, a character was created.
His name was Mister E. Juice.
At first, he existed simply to introduce songs and represent the brand's sense of humor.
Then something unexpected happened.
The character began developing a personality of his own.
The Rise of Mister E. Juice
Mister E. Juice started as a sarcastic, quick-witted smart-aleck with a dry sense of humor.
But over time, he naturally evolved into something far more distinctive.
Inspired by nineteenth-century medicine-show barkers, carnival pitchmen, and old-time snake oil salesmen, MEJ became a man seemingly trapped in another era—one who somehow found himself navigating the modern world through social media, online videos, and the internet.
His advice is usually sincere.
His confidence is unwavering.
His conclusions... occasionally require additional research.
He proudly represents Artificial Ingredients Laboratories while simultaneously finding himself to be one of its more frequent victims.
Whether he's explaining life, introducing a new tonic, or confidently misunderstanding modern technology, MEJ approaches everything with the same philosophy:

Artificial Ingredients Laboratories exists somewhere between reality and fiction.
Inside our universe, the company has supposedly been manufacturing premium Artificial Ingredients since "1800-somethin'," producing everything from miracle tonics and laboratory supplies to official publications and public notices.
Outside that universe, we're simply passionate about creating products that make people smile.
Everything we make is designed to celebrate humor, creativity, craftsmanship, and a healthy skepticism toward anyone claiming to have all the answers—including ourselves.
